IS IT ACTUALLY possible to grasp at once all the images in the New Testament that refer, in one way or another, to the church? Conservatively estimated, there are more than eighty of them, but this number might readily be increased to one hundred if the various Greek words were counted separately. Taking even the conservative estimate, it is quite impossible for one mind to deal simultaneously with so many disparate items. For the sake of comprehension we must
